Ecology Activitities and Missa Gaia
In addition to the Missa Gaia concert on Sunday, April 6, members of the North Shore Choral Society and the groups listed below sponsored ecology-related activities that took place during the day on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
We welcomed community members to join us.
The Talking Farm, 3701 Howard Street, Skokie, 3-5pm, for planting, weeding, watering, mulching, or building new beds, with farmer, Matt Ryan.
Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse, 2101Dempster Street, Evanston, warehouse tour explaining their program and volunteer possibilities, 10:30 am-noon, conducted by Joe Boyle, chairman of the ERW board, stay to shop in the warehouse.
Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 N. McCormick Blvd., Evanston: invasive plants removal on the Center grounds at 1 pm.
North Branch Restoration Project, saving native prairie along the Chicago River with Kent Fuller, 9:00am-noon, includes brush cutting, burning of cuttings, (wear gloves) in Miami Woods, Morton Grove, on Caldwell, east side, just north of Oakton, working near the parking lot.
